The Salesperson position is a key role that sells our contract and custom manufactured products to businesses and other organizations. Your duties are to contact customers, travel to business locations, explain our service and product features, help negotiate price and timing, and recommend ways to promote and display products for buyers. The overall goal is to get quotes and orders that grow revenue with new and existing customers.
Responsibilities and Duties.
Serves customers by selling products and meeting customer needs. Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential customers. Support occasional trade shows.
Present, promote and sell products/services using solid presentations to existing and prospective customers.
Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs.
Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
Handle communications, admin duties between customers and other internal functions. This includes not only the initial sale but follow up, including challenges like quality issues, delays, scheduling concerns, competitive issues and more.
Take proactive action to obtain, keep/retain and grow volume with your accounts.
Be able to discern best opportunities that are worthwhile and have great cost benefit overall for the company. This also means finding customers that are a great fit with internal capabilities and also avoiding customers that are high cost, low volume or those that may be poor margin.
Qualifications and Skills
Prior selling experience a large plus.
Familiarity with selling precision sheet metal, machined parts or electronics is a plus, but we will train too.
Be able to work autonomously on your own with high self-motivation
Be an effective verbal; and written communicator that has high ethics and builds customer trust and confidence.
Maintain a positive attitude.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
