The Sales Support Specialist is a core position within K-Tec Systems. This role will interact with all aspects of the business, request for quote, quotes, sales orders, purchase orders, invoices, reports, and ad hoc projects. Additionally, there is a need to form a strong relationship with coworkers, customers, and vendors as this role is an important role within the business.

The Sales Support Specialist manages the daily functions essential to the company’s sales growth. He/she provides support to the sales team and responds to customer and prospect queries. These include quoting, order entry, purchasing and shipping. Outstanding customer service and communication skills via phone and email are essential for this position.

Job Responsibilities

  • Interact with customers/vendors via email/over the phone and build or maintain positive relationships providing the customer service and support needed to ensure smooth sales team operations, and generate & close sales • Investigate and resolve customer problems and objections • Provide customers with quotes in a timely manner • Process sales orders • Issue purchase orders to vendors • Review pending orders and specific requests to ensure excellent customer service • Coordinate incoming & outgoing shipments • Understand our products and stay up-to-date with new products • Suggest sales support process improvements.

Accountabilities & Performance Measures

  • Response time quotes are sent to customer • Accuracy of orders and shipments, On time, Correct Items. • Accuracy of input into the NetSuite system • Feedback through customers and vendors for exceptional customer service. • Achievement of strategic objectives defined by CEO.

Organizational Alignment

  • Reports to the CEO • Works with Sales for quotes and strategic sales initiatives • Fosters close, cooperative relationships with Sales and Marketing Team Leaders. • Located in Ferndale, MI - Remote work possible a few days a week after the first few months depending on training, autonomy and efficiency.
