Title: Sanitor C

FSLA Status: Full-time/Nonexempt

Location: San Diego, CA

Starting Pay: $18.00+ per hour (with a shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts)

Shifts Available: 1st shift (6:00am—2:30pm) and 2nd shift (2:00pm – 10:30pm)

Overview: The Sanitor C follows instructions by a Sanitation Supervisor, Team Leader, and/or area leader to clean/sanitize equipment in accordance with cleaning schedule while complying with all safety and QA and USDA regulations.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Sanitation

1. Performs sanitation duties that may require lifting up to 25pounds following established policies and procedures that vary depending on assigned station and rotation.

2. Ensures designated equipment and tools are in operational condition for on time start-ups and informs supervisor of any discrepancies on equipment.

3. Supports and executes all related operations and tasks needed for completing sanitation of scheduled equipment. (e.g., use power hoses, chemicals, brushes, brooms to wash down equipment and facility, disassembles/assembles equipment, empties containers filled with food waste)

4. Disposes of waste according to established procedures.

5. Evaluates results of own sanitation processes after sanitizing assigned equipment.

6. Informs supervisor of any accident or unusual incident that may occur.

7. Completes assigned sanitation projects in a timely manner.

Reporting

1. Completes all assigned daily reports at the end of each shift and delivers to supervisor.

2. Records specific down time information as needed.

Safety

1. Ensures compliance with all specifications established by QA and USDA as well as proper execution of HACCP, GMP’s and QA standards.

2. Complies with established safety practices and performs all tasks in a safe manner while promoting a safe work environment.

Budget and Cost Control

1. Recommends changes in established sanitation processes to reduce and/or eliminate waste on assigned line.

Quality

1. Interprets and takes ownership of GMPs and food safety company standards.

2. Must be able to provide recall information for raw material usage as well as disposals.

3. Coordinate with Quality Assurance on any product placed or released from hold status, raw materials as well as finished product.

  • Participate in the QRMP yearly audit and assist in the development of procedures and corrective actions.
  • Accountable for the QRMP (Quality Risk Management Process) system and operational standards as outlined in the plant accountability list in order to achieve targeted RCR.

Manufacturing Playbook

1. Participates in the implementation of the factory’s playbook , especially in the pillar assigned to the department, to ensure successful completion of all checklist items/actions within the playbook.

Required Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

· Minimum 1 year experience in a production or equivalent environment preferred.

· Basic computer knowledge is a must.

· Experience utilizing hand tools and troubleshooting equipment.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
