JOB DESCRIPTION

Work with Purchasing, Manufacturing and the Product Groups to manage material planning and production control.

Job Duties

• Provide a signal to procure and fabricate material based on project requirements and manufactured stocked item.
• Create, Manage and Close production orders for in-house and outsourced fabrication and assembly
• Work closely with cost accounting to ensure proper costing of manufactured items
• Develop and maintain Forecast, master schedule and procurement plan based on history and sales
• Analyze inventory levels and product demands to determine reorder levels and safety stocks that will ensure product availability and minimize inventory costs
• Proactively review material supply and demand to determine push/pull actions appropriate to impact manufacturing MPS
• Review material shortages, stock outages while working with Purchasing and Manufacturing to meet customer requirements. Propose changes when needed.
• Work cooperatively to implement innovative inventory efficiency programs
• Identify and implement system and process improvements within the supply chain to enable overall business process improvement

QUALIFICATIONS

Proven experience with complex planning; Experience with Purchasing or Materials planning tools; Excellent Communication Skills (written and verbal); Organizational and problem solving skills required; Must have ability to work with others while effectively handling internal pressures

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to go up and down stairs. Must be able to communicate effectively. Must be able to operate a Computer, telephone and other office equipment. Must not present a risk of injury to self or others while engaged in company duties. Must be able to work overtime as required.
