Global Security Group is seeking experienced Unarmed Security Officers for industrial facilities throughout the Beach Park neighborhood and surrounding areas. MUST be a U.S. Military Veteran to be considered. Security Officers are responsible for patrolling the property, access control, having unwanted subjects leave the client's property, report and observe any facility violations to the client via mobile reporting, contact local law enforcement when needed. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, must have good communication skills. Amazing opportunity for individuals with goals to enter Law Enforcement.

• Must attend and pass a de-escalation class prior to being assigned to location.
• Work closely with the local police department.

Licenses and Certifications

· PERC Card (or ability to obtain one)

· Valid U.S. Driver’s License

Education and Experience

· Minimum 1 year experience as Security Guard.

· Educational background related to Law Enforcement is an asset.

Skills and Knowledge

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Excellent organizational skills, with an emphasis on multi-tasking and rapidly assessing and shifting priorities.

· Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain a professional demeanor under stressful situations.

· Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Working Conditions

• Required to work rotating shifts to include statutory holidays and be available for work in a 24x7x365 environment.
• Required to work with mobile reporting and other systems.

Major Responsibilities

• Monitoring and reporting all on site activity.
• Ensuring that security operations occur consistent with policy and Post Orders.
• Maintain periodic radio communications.
• Initiate communications with Tenants, Building Personnel and Property Management at the onset of emergencies, major incidents, or the disruption of building operations.
• Prepares written documentation and provides reports on technical problems, incidents, front-line investigative issues, and other security-related matters.
• Manages information flow via mobile reports.
• Notifies emergency services and appropriate personnel when required.
• Reporting building safety hazards and deficiencies, and other work requests as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
