Supports delivery of security, safety and parking services on campus by supervising the day-to-day operations of a designated shift of Security & Safety Officers in the field.Promotes the security goals of crime and loss prevention through interactions with other departments, and the supervision and activities of staff.
Promotes the Magis goals of customer service (care, concern, respect, cooperation) through interactions with other departments and supervision of staff.
Handles the day to day Human Resource responsibilities of shift.
Provides and participates in training of officers and other employees.
Develops staffing schedules.
Assists the Safety Department in the accomplishment of safety goals and the enforcement of safety rules and regulations
Position Requirements:
Minimum Education: Required: Associate's Degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education Preferred: Bachelor's Degree Specify Degree(s): Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement/Security Administration
Minimum Experience: Required: 3-5 years of previous job-related experience
Licensure/Certifications: Required: Valid Illinois State Driver's License Preferred: CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) Other: IAHSS Basic, Advanced, Supervisory Certification Preferred
