We are seeking a Permanent Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Scientific industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Business, Accounting, and CPA. This is a full-time position that requires a minimum of 3 years of experience. The selected candidate will work alongside a team of professionals in a fast-paced environment where they will be responsible for managing complex accounting tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Manage the month-end close process by ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and file tax returns, including federal and state income tax returns, sales tax returns, and property tax returns.
- Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to senior management on ways to improve profitability and reduce costs.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including the processing of invoices and payments, and the collection of outstanding receivables.
- Supervise and train junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or related field required.
- CPA certification required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with accounting software, such as NetSuite or Concur
