ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Training, mentoring, and developing junior staff
• Review journal entries and preparation of junior staff for accuracy
• Analyzing complex financial reports and records.
• Making recommendations based on analysis
• Assist with audits - financial and tax
• Guides AP/AR team
• Compiles with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements
• Responsible for monthly and year-end closing of the general ledger
• Maintain ERP accounting system and backup control
• Review/auditing of payroll
• Review accuracy of AP/AR invoices, general ledger account coding, ongoing resolution of any issues and constant development of staff
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Expert knowledge of accounting principles and familiarity with GAAP
• Highly detail-oriented and organized.
• Knowledge of Corporate Finance.
• Ability to research and report effectively, problem-solve efficiently and maintain confidentiality
• Experienced with SFAS rules preferred
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred
• Familiarity with SAP ERP systems required
• Bachelor's Degree BA/BS in Accounting plus an additional 5+ years experience required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $55.00 per hour
