The Senior Applications Development Program Manager is responsible for managing the coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific internal applications development projects that ensure consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. In this role, the Senior Applications Development Program Manager manages both Randseco and OnDemand Visit, (ODV), related company projects, primarily geared towards the development and continued enhancement of all company products.
Job Functions:
  • Primarily responsible for the management of the ongoing applications development and enhancement of software products.
  • Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Able to analyze and synthesize available information effectively to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
  • Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.
  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope and deliverables.
  • Effectively applies appropriate methodology and techniques to enforce project standards.
  • Minimizes project exposure and risk.
  • Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately. Facilitates team and stakeholder meetings effectively.
  • Holds regular status meetings with project team.
  • Sets and manages stakeholder expectations.
  • Effectively communicates project information to superiors, stakeholders and team members.
  • Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully with both internal and external respondents.
  • Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
  • Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
  • Ensures project delivery on time and within budget.
  • Possesses general understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design.
  • Understands and implements SMART ticketing.
  • Understands Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client/server architectures.
  • Maintains awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on project engagements.
  • Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen stakeholder relationships.
  • On occasion nights and weekends will be part of the work schedule for special projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with Agile-Scrum methodology
  • Experience with cloud-based software implementation
  • PMI Certification (PMP or related certification) beneficial.
  • Five years or more of relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows platforms, tools and operating systems.
  • An understanding of Infrastructure technologies e.g. Storage, Servers, Networks, Databases Operating Systems and Security.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Emergency Medical Service or Healthcare or other related field highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of areas of compliance: Sarbanes/Oxley 404, HIPAA, Hi-Tech highly desirable and ISO 27001 a plus.
  • Experience working in national and multi-cultural environment highly beneficial.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-departmental team is a must.
Physical Skills:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, talk or hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to walk; sit; use hands and reach with hands and arms.
  • Must have the manual dexterity to skillfully operate a computer keyboard and other standard office equipment, such as facsimile and telephone.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Corrected vision in normal range.
  • Ability to travel.
