As a Senior Associate in the BDO FMA Consulting practice, you will provide professional services that are sensitive to the needs and values of both nonprofit organizations and funders that support them. Service Delivery
Practice and Product Development:

Service Delivery
- Delivers nonprofit consulting services including but not limited to fiscal infrastructure assessments and development projects, including business process redesign, financial health analysis, and software selection
- Supports with planning and analysis projects, including multiyear financial models, budget development, and cash flow planning
- Assists with the delivery of nonprofit capacity building programs, including developing curriculum, training, and coaching.
- Serves as primary contact in client engagements and effectively manage relationships with multiple stakeholders, including funders, nonprofit staff and Board leaders, and internal team members.
- Serves as a project manager for multiple projects, supporting the team to manage deadlines and ensure client needs are met
- Aids with the drafting, revising, and formatting of client reports, presentations, memos, and correspondence
- Supports leadership teams in making financial decisions including presenting analysis and findings and effectively communicating complicated financial information to a variety of audiences that have varying levels of financial literacy.
- Promotes organizations that are going through change, deploying coaching and change management lenses.
Practice and Product Development:
- Actively participates in the development of Consulting and Advisory Services for nonprofits, including monthly meetings and other areas of product development.
- Identifies ways to make engagements more efficient and productive.
Qualifications
Education
Experience
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Bachelor's degree, required
- MBA, MPA or related master’s degree, preferred
Experience
- Three (3) or more years demonstrated experience in nonprofit organizations or management consulting, required
- Experience working with nonprofits, preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint, required

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, preferred
