The Boyd Group is searching for Senior Data Engineers for various and unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. (HQ: Elmhurst, IL).
Design and develop high performance and scalable data pipelines that meet the overall data engineering and analytics objectives for the organization. Responsible for quality software testing and collaborating with BI/Application teams or business users on end-to-end integration and user testing.
Collaborate with business teams and vendors to build technical specifications and software solutions that meet business requirements.
Automate deployments of data artifacts to different environments and provide post-production support.
Build technical specifications and other documentation for data engineering solutions to serve as reference and aid with software implementation and support.
Provide support and mentor junior developers.
Technical Skills: Python, Pycharm, GitHub, Jenkins, Snowflake, AWS EC2, AWS S3, Spark on EMR cluster; Talend, AWS Glue, AWS Redshift, Airflow, Cloud Formation Templates.
Requirements
*Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or in software development required. (*Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field plus five years of progressive experience in the job offered or in software development also acceptable).
