Job Summary
Job Responsibilities
- Manages and coordinates organization, branch, production, functional or department operation/business strategies and activities
- Participates in developing, interpreting and implementing policies and procedures for the assigned functional area/department
- Assigns or delegates responsibilities for specified work or functional activities and ensures attainment of operating goals
- Serves as a resource in providing work direction and assistance in resolving issues as they arise
- Provides leadership and direction through senior managers or managers
- Is accountable for the performance and results of a major part of the organization
- Develops and executes strategy to achieve key business objectives
- Decisions are guided by Stewart and business unit strategy and objectives
- Applies in-depth knowledge of own function or major operational segment as well as business expertise to differentiate Stewart from the competition
- Impacts results of a business unit, major market or enterprise-wide function
- Evaluates key business challenges; directs the development of new or innovative solutions
- Shapes the opinions of, and negotiates with, senior leaders; establishes collaborative relationships across the business and with external organizations
- Leads a major part of the organization (function or significant market within a business unit, or an enterprise-wide sub-function)
- Develops and executes long-term strategy to achieve key business objectives
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred
Experience
- Typically requires 10+ years of related work experience
