The role you ’ll contribute :
Develops, directs, plans, coordinates, manages, and evaluates a successful Cardiovascular Service Line program for Texas Health Huguley Hospital. Provides leadership for the daily administrative operations of the specific segments of services known as the Cardiovascular Service Line. Facilitates collaborative efforts in elevating clinical performance and stewardship while driving performance through innovative technology which provides an exceptional care delivery to consumers. Engages with medical staff leaders to create and implement physician models that fully leverage the physician enterprise to position THH as a destination site for Cardiovascular Services. Measure of success result in clinical, financial, and market outcomes that demonstrate value to patients, physicians, and payors. Assures appropriate communication with physicians and all levels of employees. Participates in activities that foster a positive corporate culture. Maintains service excellence as defined by patients, their families or significant others, physicians, payors, purchasers, the communities served and others.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
· Communicate directly with the Medical Directors, participating physicians of cardiovascular related services, senior hospital management, and others to plan, develop, and implement long-range and short-term strategies to ensure that the Cardiovascular Service Line operation is consistent with the Adventist Health System philosophy and strategic plans.
· Communicate with physicians on a frequent and ongoing basis to assure that administrative issues are quickly identified and provide timely feedback to physicians regarding the progress of resolution strategies.
· Responsible for the institution of strategic initiatives to achieve goals and the daily management and operations of the cardiovascular service line.
· Collaborates with administrative team and physicians to coordinate meetings and activities for the Division of Cardiology.
· Collaborates closely with other clinical and nonclinical managers and directors.
· Defines, implements, and manages methods to improve patient throughput, scheduling, and turnaround times.
· Collaborates with Business Development for plans to increasing market share and expansion of cardiovascular service line and implements after approval of administrative team.
· Plans, organizes, and coordinates the cardiovascular departments efficiently and effectively as measured by budgetary, productivity, and performance improvement targets.
· Collaborates with Marketing to market programs and to create access to cardiovascular services early in the disease process.
· Collaborates with Education Department to develop cardiac care and education for physicians, staff, and community.
· Collaborates with Supply Chain to negotiate vendor contracts to receive best pricing structures for the organization and works with department directors/managers on the management of supplies, inventory, and budgetary items.
· Collaborates with department leaders to reviews department specific policies, procedures, standing orders and protocols on an annual and ongoing basis.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
· BSN Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
· Minimum of five years of leadership experience in Cardiac Services.
· Experience in budgeting and performance improvement.
· BLS
· ACLS
· Management skills
· Interpersonal skills
· Leadership
· Performance management tools such as dashboard and scorecards
· Knowledge of regulatory agency requirements.
