Job Summary:
The Senior Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of and managing all aspects of the monthly income statements and expense forecasts for their brand through on-going interaction with the brand personnel. This position will understand his/her brand’s operations to ensure that all necessary accounting entries are recorded in an accurate and timely basis and prepare and review account analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of and managing all aspects of the monthly income statements and expense forecasts for their brand through on-going interaction with the brand personnel. This position will understand his/her brand’s operations to ensure that all necessary accounting entries are recorded in an accurate and timely basis and prepare and review account analysis.
Key Responsibilities:

Partner with brand personnel to identify all trends, initiatives, non-recurring activities, and other events and ensure all of these items are properly reflected in the monthly income statement and expense forecasts.

Prepare consolidated forecasts and budgets and analyzes trends in revenue, expense, capital expenditures and other related areas.

Review monthly expense forecasts for specific brands through discussions with brand personnel and review of actual results.

Prepare and review monthly brand actual results for accuracy and consistency with generally accepted accounting principles.

Understand company operations to ensure that all necessary accounting entries are created and entered into Oracle on a timely basis.

Prepare monthly account analysis and investigate/resolve any reconciling items.

Identify and provide detailed and thorough explanations for variances between actual results and forecasts.

Prepare and present monthly brand results to senior management team.

Review requests for expenditures, ensure they are included in the forecast, are reasonable from a business perspective, and have the proper general ledger account coding.

Assist in the testing of financial systems upgrades as needed.

Assist the company in its quarterly financial and compliance reviews, and annual audit.

Assist in identification and implementation of process re-engineering and automation of manual activities on a continuing basis.

Special projects as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.

CPA and/or MBA preferred.

4-6 years experience in relevant corporate environment

Strong computer skills including MS Excel and Word.

Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with upper brand management.

Familiarity with general ledger accounting systems and consolidation systems, preferably Oracle and/or Hyperion.

Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment where a daily "open items" list will change based upon the needs of management.

Strong initiative, flexibility, and ability to thrive in a deadline oriented atmosphere.
