SUMMARY

Liaise between Minth entities worldwide, act as main SCM (Supply Chain Management) contact window for MNA (Minth North America) Operation. Responsible for MNA annual logistics budget plan/performance. Oversee the MNA SCM operation and be responsible for KPI achievement from the region (ie, Inventory accuracy, Inventory turnover days, Slow-moving stock, Logistics cost saving, etc).

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as a key user in CBP ACE system
  • North America VMI warehouse set up and management. (Participate the US/Mexico VMI warehouse bidding coordinate internal resource to meet customer’s expectation, lead the EDI connection between the customer, shipper and the warehouse, set up SOP and KPI, supervise the VMI warehouse daily operation and escalate to HQ if necessary)
  • Minth North America logistics routing planning and coordination (eg, design the best route to ship from Mexico to USA)
  • Support the Minth Group and act as regional logistics liaison to communicate with OEM for advance logistics/EDI planning or to resolve the SCM issue
  • Support the factories’ SCM operation and lead the change to meet the MMOG/LE requirement; New factory logistics plan and configuration (material flow, warehouse layout, etc.)
  • Other duties or special projects as assigned. Responsible for the administration and monitoring of budget/KPI of GLC NA Center

Import & Export customs and transportation management for NA region

  • Responsible for import & export related transportation management for NA region, including planning of the trucks from port/yard to the plant (including 3rd party WH), and the transportation between Mexico and America; customs operation for NA region, including shipping documents, customs declaration and clearance HS classification and ruling with customs authority, and non-physical transferred tooling/molding declaration
  • Responsible for process trading management, e.g. Immex, Annex 24 & 31
  • Administration of the Control of certificates of origin for clients and suppliers
  • Responsible for customs and trading compliance and risk control
  • Administration of the Control of Merchandise Transfer Certificates (CTM) Change of regime of expired petitions

Logistics planning for NA

  • Responsible for the advanced logistics planning and logistics-related-cost assessment of export and import related projects in NA region, including advanced customs issues, transportation route, transit-warehouse, etc.
  • Responsible for 3rd party transit warehouse bidding for NA region, the implementation of the warehouse solution for nominated projects, and the LSP management, to support the logistics operation team to improve the KPI of the suppliers
  • Responsible for international & domestic transportation procurement in yearly bidding for Freight Forwarder/Custom Broker/ Shipping Carrier”, and the LSP management; support the logistics operation team to improve the KPI of the suppliers

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Supply Chain or any related field
  • At least 8-year working experience in overseas logistics, of which more than 2-year experience in automotive part industry and must have overseas customs & transportation and overseas transit warehouse management experience
  • International Trade, Logistics, transportation, warehousing and Customs compliance knowledge.
  • Good understanding of local and destination countries (mainly China, USA/EU) Customs regulations and procedures, extensive China customs compliance experience with processing trade, eBooks, HTS classification and negotiating with customs officials. Be familiar with such mechanisms as IMMEX, PROSEC, having operation and management experience in IMMEX, PROSEC; Be familiar with the application precondition and procedure for North America Certificate of Origin.
  • Well known in warehouse planning, operation, and WMS system principle; procurement of the logistics(warehousing, transportation) and the LSP management, strong negotiation skills with suppliers; international transportation operation including sea, rail and air freight, and LSP management (carrier, forwarder, customs broker, etc.)
  • Good understanding of logistics requirements from automotive industry customers, especially from USA/EU OEM, e.g. MMOG/LE
  • Good skills in using ERP-SAP or QAD Office software and other IT software (e.g. PPT, function)
  • Good understanding of inventory management process of manufacturing enterprise and have extensive management experience in stock control
