Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Fleet Care & Channel Strategy is responsible for long-term growth strategies for Fleet Care across various market segments; map competitive landscape, estimate the size of the opportunity, and develop defensible strategies that leverage Bridgestone’s unique assets and capabilities. In this role will, you will report to the Director, Strategy & Business Transformation.

Scope

Highly complex start-up environment, ability to help build structure (team and process), external relationship management

Responsibilities

  • Ability to develop strategies that address customer pain-points and/or segment needs to create compelling value propositions that generate win-win outcomes and value for all stakeholders
  • Provide insights on marketplace conditions, potential products, solutions and financial mechanisms needed to grow business
  • Build a team of subject matter experts on segments with both market, customer, and competitive insights and knowledge to help shape our strategies
  • Partner with Head of Strategy and Transformation as well as Head of Strategy Implementation and Training to ensure strategies are developed to consider both WHAT and HOW - being for the WHAT portion of the strategy
  • Integrate stakeholder feedback gained from Implementation and Sales teams from incubation projects to adjust/optimize strategies
  • Work closely with sustainability team to generate outcomes that help fleets address growing environmental concerns
  • Provides insights to Marketing & Insights that will allow for product positioning, messaging and overall communication launch plans
  • Supports Implementation and Sales teams on program launches
  • Build and grow trust-based relationships with all stakeholders
  • Ability to interpret business strategies used by potential customers and/or segments
  • “Driver” mentality; thrives in highly exposure role with significant responsibility, data driven decision-maker with the ability to navigate through ambiguity
  • Self-driven individual, with the ability to drive projects with low level of supervision
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • High aptitude for researching, analysis and formalization
  • Proven ability to perform successfully in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong technical acumen and comfort working cross functionally
  • Ability to travel

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree; 8+ years of relevant experience including 5+ years management or leadership experience
Or Master’s degree; 6+ years of relevant experience including 4-5 years management or leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA preferred, undergraduate degree in business, marketing, finance and/or engineering
  • Background in management / strategy consulting or comparable experience
  • 5+ years’ experience, commercial and passenger vehicle related market experience preferred
  • Business to Business experience and familiarity
  • Travel as needed, approximately 25%
