Job Summary

The Senior Mail Services Manager oversees the overall mail and package operation at Georgetown University. The manager is responsible for the successful execution of all on and off-campus deliveries. The manager is also responsible for all sub-operating units pertaining to the vehicle fleet, copy and print and vendor management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Reads letters and determines department or official for whom mail is intended
  • Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow
  • Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures
  • Prioritizes work and manage staff levels appropriately
  • Establishes a full understanding for the utilization of Compass Group reporting systems
  • Produces client invoicing/billing in a timely and accurate manner
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma; College Degree is a plus
  • Facilities Experience, preferred not required
  • Proven customer service related experience
  • Competent computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.) or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
  • Ability to effectively work both individually and in a team environment
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
