The Company is currently seeking a Senior Purchasing Agent to support our Denver Division in reaching its sales and closing targets.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish new and leverage existing relationships with trade partners to ensure a robust and competitive bidding landscape
  • Ensure trade partners have complete and accurate information from which to provide bids
  • Create, distribute, and track bids
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of bids with a sharp focus on accuracy
  • Negotiate with trade partners on cost, capacity, and other important criteria
  • Review plans for discrepancies and help identify solutions prior to construction
  • Assist with projected direct cost reporting for future communities and periodic budget reporting
  • Ensure product specification change requests are managed appropriately
  • Act as a knowledge resource for others in the department, division, and/or company

Qualifications

  • Three or more years of Purchasing Agent experience in the homebuilding industry
  • Strong ability in reading, interpreting, and analyzing technical construction drawings and documents
  • Understanding of the homebuilding construction process, including task ordering and scheduling
  • In-depth knowledge of ERP software used by the homebuilding industry
  • Experience working in an audit-compliant environment
  • Strong computer skills, particularly with MS Excel
  • Highly accurate, organized and detail-oriented
  • Able to multi-task, meet deadlines, and follow through on projects to completion
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with JD Edwards Enterprise 1 and Hyphen BuildPro skills are highly desired
