Impact you will make

The Senior Software Engineer- Data will be responsible for the design and development of new features and tools to support our data insights process. This role also supports and maintains existing products for the growth and development of our Data Insights technology suite currently hosted in Azure.

What you will do

• Responsible for developing new features and the maintenance and enhancements of existing functionality
• Participate in design, development, and support of highly scalable Data Pipelines
• Responsible for working within and maintaining an extensible and performance system architecture
• Maintain a broad knowledge of emergent trends in data warehouse platforms, tools, methodologies, and their underlying principles
• Code review, unit test coverage and continuous improvement
• Build tools to support automation and productivity
• Communicate effectively with team members and project leadership to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions
• Ensure unit tests written for all new code
• Seek opportunities to incorporate new technologies into the product’s technology stack when they can add value
• Understand and work with multiple data sources to meet business rules and support analytical needs
• Create stored procedures and using other methods within SQL Data Warehouse and Azure Data Factory to import/translate/manipulate data
• Analyze potential data quality issues to determine the root cause and creating effective solutions
• Optimize processes involving large data sets to improve performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve functional and performance related issues

What you will bring

• High School diploma or GED
• 3+ years of experience in Software Development; Developing Software in an Agile Environment
• 3+ years of experience working directly with data warehouses
• 3+ years’ experience on Microsoft BI Stack (SSIS and SSRS)
• 3+ years’ experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting of ETL
• Demonstrated ability to extrapolate database schema to meet the business needs of the application
• Test Driven Development (TDD)
• Excellent oral and written communications skills are required
• SQL Server database design, development & optimization with knowledge of SQL server best practices
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Travel required: None

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $122,000.00 per year
