Northwest Community Credit Union recently announced plans to pursue a merger with TwinStar Credit Union of Lacey, WA. Pending a “Yes” vote in late Fall 2022, NWCU employees will be combined with TwinStar employees at the time of our anticipated legal merger date, which is sometime in early 2023. Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist Salary: $65,900 - $81,700/year (dependent upon knowledge, skill, and abilities)

Position Primary Purpose:

Responsible for the full-cycle talent acquisition process, from recruitment strategy and job posting to post-offer acceptance. Acts as an ambassador for internal stakeholders and serves as a subject matter expert in talent acquisition by providing consultative direction to hiring managers and the People & Development Team. Seeks out bias in the talent acquisition process and takes steps to address and eliminate to help build a more diverse and inclusive workplace.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the talent acquisition process from role review to post-offer acceptance. Collaborates with hiring managers to define and determine the recruitment strategy and evaluation of applicants. Leads a detailed job scope meeting to determine position specifications, providing relevant wage data, and recommendations on recruitment strategies. Posts jobs, sources, interviews and evaluates candidates, partners with hiring managers to determine offer details, presents job offers, and leads negotiations ensuring offers fit within the organization's compensation philosophy and practices.
  • Trains and coaches managers on the talent acquisition function and processes; including but not limited to utilizing the applicant tracking system, candidate screening and selection, and unconscious bias in recruitment. Works with hiring managers to ensure compliance with federal/state laws and regulations during the hiring process.
  • Collaborates with hiring managers regarding wage proposals for job offers and provides recommendations to People & Development Leadership ensuring adherence with the organization's compensation philosophy and practices.
  • Keeps applicants engaged throughout the recruitment process, ensuring consistent communication. Prepares applicants for interviews, coaching them on logistical information, interview schedule, appropriate attire, and overall expectations.
  • Coordinates the pre-employment contingency process and initial new hire onboarding process.
  • Develops relationships with professional networking sites, workforce development organizations, and college/university placement offices. Works closely with Marketing on social media advertising. Uses traditional and non-traditional resources, such as career fairs, community network events, job boards, etc. to identify and attract quality applicants.
  • Ensures adherence and compliance with the Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) relative to the recruitment function. Generates reports for annual Affirmative Action Plan, monitors for AAP compliance within talent acquisition, and recommends talent acquisition initiatives to support diversity, equity, and inclusion for the credit union.
  • Optimizes the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to best support the talent acquisition process and hiring manager needs, while also seeking out opportunities to create efficiencies and improve systems for the current and future talent demands.
  • Researches, analyzes, prepares, and presents hiring analytics. Leverages talent acquisition data to inform decisions on recruitment strategies and recommend changes to the talent acquisition process.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Experience:

A minimum of five (5) years' experience in a Talent Acquisition role or HR Generalist role with full-cycle recruitment ownership.

Education:

High school diploma (GED equivalent) is required. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Human Resource Management is preferred. SHRM-CP and/or PHR certification is preferred.

Demonstrated Abilities:

  • Knowledge and understanding of human resources policies/procedures and federal/state/local laws regarding employment practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to sell the employer brand and articulate the value proposition of the job opportunity and joining the credit union.
  • Continuous improvement mindset and ability to scan the horizon for best practices, thought leadership, and technologies related to talent acquisition.
  • Travel is not required.
