Headquartered in Bergen, NY, Liberty Pumps is a leading U.S. manufacturer of pumping products for ground water and wastewater removal in residential and commercial applications. Liberty Pumps is a 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 Inc. 5000 company and perennial Rochester Top 100 company, which designs and manufactures wastewater pumps and products, and specializes in pre-assembled systems. We are one of the major manufacturers and suppliers of residential and light commercial duty pumps in North America. A new 60,000 square foot factory was opened in 2001, and we just completed our second major expansion in 2016 which resulted in approximately 250,000 total square feet of production, R&D, and office space. We continue to add on, as we are in our 3rd phase of construction due for completion in 2022.

Summary of the position:

Professionally, accurately, and efficiently analyzes, repairs, dispositions and documents rejected products for both internal and external customers, including performing sales transactions.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Preferred Skills:

  • Training in Industrial Electrical/Mechanical Technology or equivalent experience
  • Past experience troubleshooting and repairing centrifugal style pumps
  • Strong electro/mechanical and diagnostic skills, including single and three phase AC motors
  • Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and data strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and data entry/management
  • Strong teamwork, organizational and time management skills
  • Driven to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Proficient in various types of measuring equipment (Calipers, Micrometers, etc.)
  • Ability to occasionally lift 51 lbs.
  • Read and interpret part drawings for part measurements
  • Understanding of root cause analysis processes
