Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the general direction of the Director of Warehouse & Inventory, the shipping office coordinator will keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments by providing information, direction, and scheduling regarding product acceptance, delivery, and storage.
- Promote a safe work environment through personal actions abiding to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and Safety requirements.
- Manage documentation process to include but not limited to preparing work orders for picking, creating outbound bills of lading, processing transfers, preparing receiving paperwork, and managing work order completion.
- Provide support including overseeing and maintaining corresponding files, answering phones, operating office equipment/computers needed to perform duties, greeting visitors.
- Schedule inbound and outbound loads as required.
- Resolve inventory issues internally and in reconciling with 3PL storage facility.
- Provide support for Red Zone applications including maintaining updates.
- Regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Perform any additional related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager as needed to support the business.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
· Basic math skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
· Basic computer literacy, basic Microsoft and/or inventory ERP systems.
· Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
· Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
Physical Requirements:
· Requires the ability to sit for long periods of time, with frequent interruptions.
· Requires several hours per day of sitting, getting up and down from chairs, and reaching, or bending.
· Required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
