Position Overview:

Great opportunity to join a rapidly growing company. Alliance Source Testing is an environmental service company that provides air sampling for industrial customers. The Equipment Supervisor is a vital part of the testing operations for each office. This role requires a self-starter who will work under the guidance of the Operations Manager and Project Management team. This position supports field work activities by ensuring that equipment is maintained and calibrated to internal and external standards. The Equipment Supervisor will support an office with at least 10 field personnel and will play a key role in maximizing the efficiency of the field staff.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Repair, cleaning, and organization of various test equipment as well as the warehouse/office facilities
• Electrical and mechanical repair of sampling equipment
• Calibration of sampling equipment following Standard Operating Procedures and federal/state rule guidance
• Pre/Post project equipment and supply preparation / demobilization
• Cleaning, restocking and organizing standard equipment on mobile laboratories
• Maintaining the supply room and calibration gas inventory
• Facility general maintenance (lights, doors, HVAC oversight)
• Occasional transport of samples to various laboratories and test equipment to other AST offices
• Tracking vehicle and trailer service intervals and making sure maintenance is performed on schedule
• Assist in loading equipment for field projects
• Maintain Positive Attitude with ability to work well in groups or independently
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to submit timesheets and expense reports on time

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
• Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to drive a pickup truck and pull and enclosed trailer
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Must adhere to all company driving policies
• Must adhere to all company safety policies
• Pass drug screens and background checks
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to climb a ladder
• Able to pass a Color vision evaluation
• Willing to work some overtime and occasional weekends
• Good communicator – both verbally and written
• Able to multi-task and prioritize
• Able to work alone with little supervision and as part of a team
• Ability to use basic office equipment: scanner, copier, PC
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel a plus

Minimum Requirements:

Education High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience Use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe Products and tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity. Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with sound knowledge of how things work. Basic vehicle maintenance with ability to drive a pickup truck and pull a mobile laboratory trailer. Use of basic office equipment: scanner, copier, PC, etc.

Certifications - Valid drivers license

Physical Requirements - Consistent standing or walking, bending, crouching or stooping, climbing ladders and/or stairs, frequent lifting of objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Distinguish between shades of color.
