Silicon Operations - AI and CPU Silicon Design

The role is to manage foundry, assembly, and test relationships for high-performance designs going into industry leading AI/ML architectures. The person coming into this role will help us move forward technical innovations, cost savings, and quality improvements in our silicon operations. The work will be done collaboratively with a group of highly experienced engineers across various domains of the design, procurement teams.

Responsibilities

• Product life-cycle support from concept feasibility through mass deployment
• Quarterly technical reviews with foundries
• Specifying assembly and test capabilities and opportunities with respect to ASIC priorities
• Supply change management with respect to foundries, and assembly and test facilities, including sourcing strategies and supplier performance improvement programs
• Helping subcontractor selection
• Providing design team with early warnings for upcoming PDK changes and impact
• Coordinating between design team and foundry support team on mock tapeouts
• In coordination with foundry and OSAT partners, yield/excursion monitoring for all backend stages and helping with DPPM reduction

Qualifications

• Direct experience working with foundry, assembly or test suppliers
• Demonstrated project management skills
• Team player, adaptable, highly networked
• Good knowledge of IC devices, processes, packaging, and PCBs
• Background in supply chain/operations or related technical field
• BS/MS/PhD in EE/ECE/CE/CS preferred
