The Highlands is looking for a new Social Media Manager to join our Marketing Team! You will be responsible for supporting our unique brand while actively engaging guests and driving revenue across all segments of the resort by developing and maintaining a social media plan. You will also be responsible for third-party reputation management and reviews. As a full-time, year-round team member you will be able to enjoy a variety of perks and benefits!
Essential Job Functions (including but not limited to):
- Develop, create, edit, and publish content to social media set forth through the resort’s social media strategy, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
- Based on the overall plan, develop a monthly social calendar in collaboration with other departments. Collaborate with internal departments, marketing teammates, and other key stakeholders to support and publish resort updates and information.
- Use Web analytics to maximize social traffic to home website
- Cultivate the online relationship with our guests and ensure all guest comments/requests on social channels are responded to/handled promptly
- Research and share key social media trends and emerging channels.
- Evaluate social sentiment and key social listening points, and leverage the learnings to promote and optimize content that resonates with The Highlands desired target audience.
- Create weekly blog content that is on brand, utilizing keywords that ensure SEO optimization and promoting the services and activities that are available on-property and locally that will assist in extending the resort’s communications and marketing reach
- Create scripts, shot lists, and creative vision of video edits and photo shoots based on campaign objectives. Shoot photo and video images of the resort and activities for use in social media and other resort marketing content. Assemble raw material into a finished product that meets objectives. Short clips (30-90 seconds) may be required on the same day as the shoot
- Responsible for capturing photo and video images of the resort and activities for use in social media and other resort marketing content.
- Represent the resort’s unique brand in all content marketing-related efforts and assist in maintaining a consistent resort image throughout the property via resort TV channels and websites
- Manage all 3rd party sites with up-to-date content, offers, operating hours, and other information as needed. These include but are not limited to TripAdvisor, Yelp, and Google.
- Development of presentations, communications, timelines, and project update documents
- Test new content approaches to capture existing demand
- Evolve and ensure consistency and integrity behind our company’s brand and brand guidelines
- Remote work is granted on a case-by-case basis
Qualifications (knowledge, skills, certifications, education, etc)
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business-related field. Minimum of 4-5 years of progressive experience in marketing is preferred, with a focus on content generation, social media, email marketing, or website administration.
- Experienced photographer with knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience with capturing and editing video with programs like Adobe Premiere Pro
- Preferred graphic design experience
- Preferred certified FAA Drone Pilot License, but not necessary
- Creative and innovative thinker with the ability to take complex topics and distill them into unique, data-driven, and actionable content
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently, act quickly on opportunities, and handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing, highly productive, and collaborative environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and able travel to conferences and sponsored events
- A skier or snowboard preferred to be able to obtain on-hill content
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Preferred knowledge of Google products such as Analytics, Business, and Tag Manager
- Preferred knowledge of HTML and CSS
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
