Duties

• Develop installation procedures that outline responsibilities for the execution of the Family Advocacy Program (FAP).
• Assess the special needs of military and retired families in the surrounding community.
• Develop and publicize information about the seriousness of child and spouse maltreatment, procedures for reporting all incidents of child or spouse maltreatment, and available services.
• Brief the installation commander and serves as subject matter expert and advisor to the command on family abuse issues.
• Ensure that all reported cases of child/spouse abuse are coordinated properly and that professional child protective procedures are followed by all installation activities.
• Ensure that all cases receive immediate action, including evaluation, treatment, and supportive services.
• Collect, maintain, and analyze data for planning and reporting purposes in accordance with governing program guidance.
• Prepare reports and surveys as appropriate to meet requirements outlined in the regulation and as requested by higher headquarters.
• Identify program resource requirements and provides FAP budget input to include manpower, supplies, equipment and other expenditures required for program operation.
• Serve as the Installation Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) Coordinator responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining an Exceptional Family Member Program.
• Ensure relocating families with special needs children are referred to the appropriate special education and medical care providers to include gaining installation.

• Incumbent must obtain and maintain a Secret (Tier 3) Clearance.
• Background/records checks, IAW DoDI 1402.05, AR 608-18 (MPs-NCIC, ASAP, ACR and State Child Protective Services) and Army directive 2014-23, IMCOM G9 Memorandum, dated 26 June 2015,directing a CNACI, is required for this position.
• Mission Essential Must remain in position during Inclement Weather Conditions or other designed/identified emergency conditions. Must continue to perform the duties until relieved by proper authority.
• This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
