The Economic Services Division of DSS administers federal and state-mandated programs for eligible families. ESD administers programs including Food & Nutrition Services, Work First Family Assistance, Work First Employment Services, Medicaid for Family & Children, Adult Medicaid, Energy Assistance, and Emergency Assistance programs.

Position Specific Information

Bilingual position available in Economic Services Division Work First Kinship Services. This position requires the ability to speak, read, and write Spanish fluently. Selected candidate must successfully pass the County’s required Bilingual Assessment prior to hire.

Provides community-based services to Work First families, including evaluation, case management, counseling, and referrals. This position, under direct supervision, is responsible for determining the individual's specific problems and assisting in developing an action plan and/or mutual responsibility agreement. Social Workers are expected to identify needs, services, and resources to address barriers, while delivering and connecting to emotional, social, and training support to improve the family’s well-being.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $49,126.00 - $61,408.00 per year
