Payments Product Development (PPD) develops and manages platform-oriented technology to advance the global growth of digital commerce and the mobilization of payments. Visa Tokenization Services (VTS) Apple Pay Services team is looking for a talented, technical, proactive, energetic, and passionate person who embraces challenges and is a proven problem solver. You will be a part of a dynamic team tasked with multiple projects ranging from developing REST Service APIs to Back-end Batching applications using Java, J2EE and open-source technologies that are highly functional, secure, scalable, and robust.

As a key member of the development team, the candidate should be comfortable with driving technical ideas and communicating clearly with technical as well as non-technical audiences.

Some job duties and projects could include:

• Design and develop highly scalable and fault-tolerant systems using Java, J2EE and open-source technologies
• Provide technical documentation of solutions
• Knowledgeable of data technologies and solutions
• Debugging and providing solutions for complicated issues
• Participate in demos and code reviews
• Multi-task and support multiple teams
• Adhere to and enhance software best practices, standards and processes
• Be an innovative thinker and implement innovative ideas

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 months of work experience or Bachelor’s Degree
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CIS/MIS, Cybersecurity, Business, or related field, graduating January 2022-August 2023

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in at least one of the following programming language or technology including, but not limited to, Java, Backend development,REST APIs, Databases, Data Structures, Algorithms
• Previous internship experience
• The ability to take on challenges and address problems head-on

• Highly driven, resourceful and results oriented
• Good team player and excellent interpersonal skills

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary for a new hire into this position is 110,000 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
