Power Equipment Direct Inc is looking for a versatile full stack developer. This role requires a strong proficiency in PHP, HTML and MySQL. This role is tasked with a variety of different projects and will be working within a home-grown custom ecommerce platform that powers 14 different websites. Understanding how an ecommerce site works is critical. This role will work within a small team of other full stack developers.
**The Full-Stack Developer opportunity is approved to sit 100% remote, anywhere within the U.S..**
Responsibilities:
- Coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and monitoring ecommerce websites
- Collaborate in a team environment to grow and enhance our network of sites
- Building new custom features and functionality on an established ecommerce platform
- Diagnosing and correcting bugs
- General website maintenance and performance updates
- Recommending changes and enhancements to the development of the websites
- Pair Coding and Code Review
- Designing and writing secure code and database architecture that scales to handle large number of users
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
- 4+ Years PHP/MySQL experience
- 2+ Years Ecommerce and payment methods experience
- Strong proficiency with PHP 7.3+, OOP, HTML5, JavaScript, SASS/SCSS, CSS3, MySQL 5.7, Git, GitHub, Docker, Composer, TypeScript and React
- Experience with Front-End and Back-End Development
- Security minded knowledge and able to write OWASP compliant code
- Writing code that follows the PSR Standards
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Aptitude for analyzing data and business processes.
- Demonstrate the ability to follow instructions, while also applying learned knowledge
- Self-starter, organized, multi-tasking and attention to detail
- CI/CD and automated testing
- Experience with Azure cloud, Jira and Phinx (Cake PHP)
