K12 Solar is an alternative energy company focused exclusively on bringing solar power and energy efficiency to schools, churches, credit unions, charitable organizations, and other municipal and tax-exempt entities and their communities (businesses and homeowners).

We have developed a unique financing structure that allows nonprofits to install a solar system without any out-of-pocket money. Our unique structure sources funds from counties and cities via the Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) program and social investors. This structure allows nonprofits to monetize the extended solar tax credit, which has increased the amount of projects we do each month.

Requirements/Skills to apply:

• MUST LIVE WITHIN 30 MILES OF SACRMANTO.
• MUST HAVE AT LEAST 3 YEARS EXPERIENCE TROUBLESHOOTING AND REPAIRING COMMERICAL SOLAR SYSTEMS.
• MUST HAVE EITHER A C10 OR JOURNEYMAN LICENSE.
• Great knowledge of how to review existing solar systems through the different manufacture websites/portals and have the ability to determine the issue(s) the system is having.
• Contact the inverter manufactures to do a remote troubleshoot of the system to determine why the system is not performing.
• Troubleshoot the systems, and diagnose the system is not performing correctly. Once the system is diagnosed, order the RMA, equipment, wire, etc., and ability to remove and replace all equipment in a commercial solar system.
• Mandatory 3+ years’ experience of commissioning new solar systems, obtaining PTO from PG&E, and closing out projects.
• Great scheduling and time management skills.
• Great interpersonal skills to set up site walks with property owners and be the face for K12 Energy on the operations side.
• Must be able to work remote and provide scheduled reporting of the systems repaired.
• OSHA 10 certification or greater (If you do not have it, K12 Energy will help you obtain it).
• High voltage electrical training, knowledge of all the required equipment, methods, and experience on dues and don'ts.

Additional Skills and Education Required:

• Electrical Journeyman License or training
• Electrical C10 license. If you have this license, the salary will be negotiated higher.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Trouble shoot existing solar systems
• Repair and all aspects of existing solar systems
• Schedule work week with VP of Engineering
• Work remote 80%+ of the time visiting/repairing existing solar systems
• Ordering RMA with inverter manufactures
• Removing equipment - Installing replacement equipment
• Submitting the RMA reimbursement to the inverter manufactures
• Maintain the vehicle, equipment, and man lift that is provided to you
• Provide all feedback through our online portal
• Once or twice a week come to the El Dorado Hills office for team meetings
• Help submit building permits
• Site audits for new projects and projects under construction
• Note: This position may move into a Operations Manager Position as the company grows. We are estimated to grow from $11M to $20M this year, so the ability to move up in the company is very likely.

Salary: $95,000 to $125,000 depending on experience and having a C10 or Journeyman licenses

Work Location:

The position will mostly be remote and traveling and working from. Will be required to go into the office 1 to 2 days a week and for meetings.
