Spherion is currently seeking Soldering Assemblers to fill a temp to PERMANENT position!!

A leading manufacturer of power products is looking for a dedicated career minded individual looking to grow with the company. You will be responsible for performing through-hole soldering, bonding, wiring, routing, riveting, assembly, disassembly, touch up, rework, cleaning, and minor modifications to several different assemblies and subassemblies within the facility.

Responsibilities Include:

• Install, solder, and inspect through-hole components, wires in circuit boards per documentation, and IPC workmanship standards.
• Read production routing paperwork, follow electronic drawings and/or receive verbal instructions regarding operations to be performed.
• Inspect component parts prior to assembly and reject defective parts.
• Inspect and evaluate the quality of products as they reach your position.
• Maintain work flow by monitoring steps of the process; observing control points to look for bottlenecks.
• Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organizations quality standards and ISO 9001/14001 procedures.
• Setup the production equipment and supplies before executing the production orders.
• Operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing.
• Maintain the work area clean, safe, and organized.
• Identify and discern various electrical and electronic components and markings which are often in small text, symbols, or faint markings.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed

Job Skills:

• Pay close attention to detail and quality
• Operate hand tools, power tools, or production equipment
• Must be able to solder/learn to solder electrical and electronic components to circuit boards and/or wires and other components
• Able to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to read assembly drawings and follow detailed color coding instructions
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time
• Read/learn to read resistor codes
• Read and understand schematics with limited assistance
• Ability to work with leaded and lead-free solders
• Windows programs: Excel, Word, Access, and Internet applications

Qualifications:

• Ability to sit for 8+ hours
• Must be willing to submit to full background and drug screen
• 1-3 years of experience in through-hole soldering is required for consideration

SHIFT TIMES:

Monday - Friday 6:30AM - 5:00PM
