Job description

Looking for a SolidWorks Design Engineer with experience in assembly machines, automation, and fixture design; preferably in automation assembly or manufacturing. You need to have a collaborative mindset and want to positively work as a team; you know how to work independently but also have self-awareness to ask for help when needed; you need to be hungry to learn and be proactive.

Experience and working knowledge of SolidWorks, GD&T, MS Office, and other project tracking modules; ability to plan, develop, schedule, and coordinate in-depth and up-to-date technical knowledge, including the ability to read and have a good understanding of blueprints.

Note: Salary range noted is the full compensation package.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

• Support Engineering Dept. with development and implementation, prioritization of work and execution of projects delivered on-time, within the scope and on budget;
• Experience with assembly machines, automation, and fixture design;
• Conceptualize and design specialty machines;
• Customer contact from kick-off to design approval;
• Oversee program needs, customer expectations and project add-ons from beginning to end;
• Must track timeline and budgets; Monitor progress accordingly
• Develop Bill of Materials from the design;
• Research and select sensors, and other purchased components;
• Can design with part variation and tolerancing in mind;
• A clear understanding of machining techniques, and how to design for manufacturability;
• Create related engineering documentation;
• Can work autonomously and within a team
• Up to 15% ability to travel in support of job functions (plants, suppliers, etc.); may have occasional international travel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
