ProCare Therapy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2023-24 school year. As a contracted Special Education Teacher, you will be assigned an elementary caseload in the Leavenworth, KS area. Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide instruction tailored to the unique learning styles and abilities of each student.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and learning.
• Collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to address individual student needs and ensure their progress.
• Assess student progress, track data, and make adjustments to instructional strategies as needed.
• Support students in developing social, emotional, and behavioral skills.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student performance and behavior.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Valid state teaching certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with students with a variety of special needs, including but not limited to learning disabilities, developmental delays, and behavioral disorders.
• Knowledge of and experience with the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and a multidisciplinary team.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with special needs.
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
