Work Schedule: 40 hours/week

JOB SUMMARY

The Specialist, HR Projects and HR Compliance primarily supports the Director(s) of Human Resources by playing an integral role in assisting, planning, and coordinating activities to ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory standards. You'll collaborate with our team of motivated and passionate professionals, where your input will be valued and your contributions vital to our success.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Compliance:

o Collaborates with internal HRIS team and third-party vendor(s) to create annual Affirmative Action Plans and any associated policies or activities.

o Collaborates with internal Recruiting team to ensure recruiting activities are in line with regulatory requirements. This includes analyzing data from various daily activities and projects to identify patterns and trends that can help create or improve processes or identify areas of concern.

o Assists with job description reviews and updates

o Assists in maintaining and updating All HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws.

o May assist in ADA process

o Regularly reviews compliance regulations to ensure HR practices meet current requirements.

HR Projects:

o Conducts various types of research for human resource initiatives, new laws, etc.

o Assist in analyzing data from various daily activities and projects to identify patterns and trends that can help create or improve processes or identify areas of concern.

Other:

o Maintains strict confidentiality in all personnel and other sensitive matters.

  • Assist and advises the HR Director(s) of significant events or situations that could positively or negatively affect the company

o Will assist Directors in organizing meetings including drafting and delivering correspondence such as agendas, minutes, and transcripts.

o Performs any other duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with 5+ years experience in HR Administration and HR Compliance; equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.

Candidate must be a self-starter and ability to work independently. Must have strong skills with computer applications, such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must have a high-level of professionalism and always be personable with excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to read and interpret numerous regulatory requirements and follow policies and procedures while being flexible.

Experience:

  • Ability to research, understand and communicate complex and sometimes cumbersome labor laws
  • Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously with excellent organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work well independently, and collaborate as a team member while prioritizing multiple objectives and projects to consistently meet established timelines
  • Effective and persuasive communicator continually demonstrating sensitivity to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Accurate judgment to know when to take the lead, when to involve others, and how to set priorities

Other:

  • Working knowledge of HR laws, practices, policies and practices.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with an appropriate level of urgency.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor based on organization level.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an emphasis on service to support various locations.
  • Ability to present to small and large groups of employees at various levels.

Per contract requirements with vehicle insurance provider: Qualified candidates must be 21 years of age and have no major traffic violations for previous 3 years (for driving/insurance purposes). Must have reliable transportation; must also be able to operate company vehicle.
