Innovative Gx Laboratories is a growing laboratory based in San Antonio, TX. We are a precision diagnostics laboratory specializing in molecular and genetic testing for healthcare providers nationwide. We are currently looking for a highly motivated, experienced Specimen Accessioner who enjoys working in a high volume, fast paced laboratory. This team member will work in our San Antonio location and may be required to work various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays and potential overtime. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule with and without advance notice.

Responsibilities Include:

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas
• Accurately identify and label specimens
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
  
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner, good computer skills mandatory
• Meet department activity and production goals

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years experience preferred
• Previous medical or production experience is a plus
• Comfortable handling biological specimens
• Ability to accurately identify specimens
• Experience working in a team environment
• Strong data entry and organizational skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Office
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blind test
