Innovative Gx Laboratories is a Texas-based laboratory providing testing in multiple areas around the US and we are seeking Full Time Specimen Collectors. The ideal candidates will have medical and/or specimen collection experience, good patient care skills, and a positive professional attitude.

Responsible for the proper identification, collection, and labeling of Infectious disease specimens (nasal swabs) for COVID-19 PCR, Rapid Covid testing, and RPP (respiratory). Some handling of UTI/STI and other infectious disease specimen.

MINIMUM EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) AND

• Prefer one-year related medical experience and/or training in specimen collection

POSITION EXPECTATIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Expected to read and comprehend instructions, email and other communications

• Expected to communicate well - in person and through written correspondence.

• Expected to order all tests on the computer.

• Expected to have knowledge of laboratory tests.

• Expected to organize specimen collection.

• Expected to record specimen collection.

• Expected to assist in orientation of new staff.

• Expected to possess knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care for all ages.

• Expected to collect samples.

• Expected to accurately interpret physician's orders.

Professional, friendly and compassionate, our Full Time Collectors receive Paid Holidays and PTO when working a minimum of 35+ Hours weekly, Medical, Dental and Vision benefits available after 90 days. Hourly rate commensurate with experience.

Experience:

Specimen Collection / Processing: 1 year preferred

Nasopharyngeal, Urine and Saliva specimen (RPP)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Work authorization:

• United States (Required)
