A small private group practice is seeking a dynamic Speech/Language pathologist to provide speech/language services to Pre-k students

CF WELCOME

5 days a week/full time

Hours :

8:15-2:15 Monday through Friday

Responsibilities include:

· Screenings

· Evaluation for eligibility for special education services

· Select and administer a variety of appropriate assessment tools to evaluate the student

· Interpret evaluation data, write comprehensive reports, and recommend and provide service recommendations, goals and objectives based on evaluation information

· Ongoing treatment-both individual and group (push in and pull out)

· Presentation of assessment findings at eligibility teams

· Consultation to teaching staff

· Write Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including goals and objectives for students receiving speech/language therapy services to meet student needs and ensure team understanding of student strengths and needs, through evaluation, educational program planning, and service delivery.

· Provide targeted, evidence-based therapeutic interventions with measurable objectives and appropriate student engagement strategies to facilitate student participation, independence, and speech/ language performance within the school environment

· Complete progress reports for all students on caseload, according to the schedule set by school and special education regulations.

· Perform re-evaluations of students focusing on areas of educational needs at intervals determined by the individual education plan and/or state special education regulations.

· Plan, organize, and conduct the speech language therapy program in school setting to facilitate the development and enhance the learning of students and social pragmatic challenges.

· Treat children with a wide range of disabilities using a variety of modalities, activities, equipment, and resources in order to improve or facilitate skill development in speech, receptive and expressive language, written expression, and social pragmatics.

· Collaborate with other members of the teaching staff to schedule treatment consistent with the needs and capabilities of the student, especially with respect to school goals and guidelines.

· Encourage the development of individual and compensatory speech/language skills need for productive participation in school learning process.

· Use professional literature, evidence-based research, and continuing education content to make practice decisions

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour

Schedule:
