Job Summary:

RMD West Logistics has an opening for a Senior Logistics Manager. This is one of four positions within RMD West Logistics that support GFP Stores, Rita Road Operations, Tucson Airport Operations, as well as Strategy and Offsite locations. This team works as one group toward common goals while being accountable to their own defined responsibilities. Each of these leaders can anticipate an opportunity to rotate within the group to gain knowledge across RMD West Logistics Operations. This position is responsible for leadership of all logistics activities related to material receipt, inventory accuracy and management, warehousing activities, strategic warehouse capacity management, through shipment at our Integrated Test Facility (ITF).

This position requires coordination with site leadership, Logistics leadership, the Property Organization, Production Control as well as DMCA to accomplish cross functional goals. The successful candidate will possess leadership and organizational skills necessary to lead a team through complex problems. A strong understanding of Raytheon’s System Application Product (SAP) based business management system (PRISM) and movement system will facilitate the analysis need to support daily decision making and examination of the team’s performance. Background with classified and explosive material storage, management and handling will support a smooth transition to the role.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Ownership of the daily operations personnel in the defined area. Evaluate resource allocations in partnership with your leadership team to support priorities across all responsibilities from Receipt through Disposition.
  • Lead a team of exempt level leaders to deliver accurate on time inventory to our factories. Define and work within control limits that enable visibility and quick responses to issues as they arise.
  • Work cross functionally to ensure the accuracy of both the physical and systematic attributes of Inventory.
  • Work across multiple RMD sites to support process integrity from receipt through disposition of explosive Inventory.
  • Consistent partnership with Rita Road, Airport, and GFP Stores Operations as well as Strategic and Off-site support to ensure Logistics delivers on both GFP and Production priorities for our customers.
  • Guiding the exempt team on our purpose to ensure daily activities tie to a clear vision.
  • Validate their leadership team has routines in place to ensure employees are compliant to all safety, security, and required training. Spares no effort in prevention of any and all recordable injuries; eliminate security escapes through continual leadership engagement.
  • Fundamental knowledge of regulations that govern Government Owned Material, ID Property, Production, CAM and Company Owned Material.
  • Logistics Certification or equivalent, CSCP at time of hire or within one year of start date.
  • Travel 10% of time.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Requires Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and 7 years of relevant experience OR In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required
  • Demonstrated knowledge / compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS)
  • Experience utilizing a System Application Product (SAP) in a Warehouse environment.
  • Leadership experience in a warehouse environment.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications we Value:

  • Understanding of compliance and audit requirements of the US Government, the Defense Contract Management Agency, the Defense Security Services and the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms.
  • Understanding and the ability to lead teams to execute processes in service of regulations relative to handling, processing, and movement of dangerous or sensitive materials including CFR, DFARS, FAR, ITAR, DoD, and DSS
  • Experience working with hazardous and classified materials in a DOD or Defense contractor setting
  • Ability to develop collaborative relationships and influence up, down and/or across organizational lines.
  • Established networks with Program Management, Engineering, Supply Chain and Quality.
