Responsibilities

The Scrum Master is a key-role in the IT organization. In this independent role you coordinate, facilitate, and align with the IT and business stakeholders on all aspects of the development/release lifecycles. Work in a highly collaborative and team-oriented environment to support ServiceNow based technology solutions. You will need to guide a development team in delivering successful outcomes on their respective projects and releases.

• Develop the future SCRUM methodology for our ServiceNow Team:
• The development team currently leverage a Kanban methodology through ServiceNow’s story board feature. This story board instance is currently in our non-Prod instance and the candidate will play a lead role in developing the future Kanban/Scrum process to be released in production.

• Assess the Agile/Scrum effectiveness and proficiency of the team & mentor the team to higher levels of effectiveness and proficiency.
• Lead and guide agile ceremonies related to Planning, Refinement, Daily Standups, Retrospectives and ensure targeted outcomes are consistently met by the Team
• Lead business development portfolio reviews. This includes the division of the story board by business function with a regular cadence to review/assess processing of their stories.
• Work with product owner to develop a governance cadence that takes into consideration the state of all stories.
• Use data to drive development and process changes
• Define and establish team and program level metrics and drive adoption, communication and meaning of the agreed to metrics.
• Become familiar with the underlying businesses and understand specific software applications developed, enhanced or supported to meet user requests
• Focus the scrum team on creating high value increments that meet the definition of done
• Ensures that risks and impediments are visible inside and outside the team; helps remove impediments that prevent the team from making progress and meeting its commitments
• Collaborate with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests
• Remove barriers between stakeholders and scrum teams
• Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint
• Builds a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised while placing an emphasis on problem-solving.
• Develop training and best practice documentation to ensure new members of the team have a clear understanding of the process and best practices

Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required
• 5+ years’ experience working with ServiceNow Product as a Scrum Master
• Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), Project Management Institute Agile Certified Professional (PMI ACP), or other leading agile certification is required.
• Strong knowledge on ITIL process methodologies
• Well-versed in SDLC methodologies: Agile, Waterfall
• Amazing ability to perform: Requirements gathering, Process mapping via ITIL, Business process reengineering
• Strong Understanding of:
• Change & Release management
• ServiceNow Platform and Products
• ServiceNow Agile/Scrum boards and features

• Strong communication skills & able manage communication with customer & offshore teams

Preferred qualifications

• Good Interpersonal skills.
• Possess good verbal and written communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to $110,000.00 per year
