Position Reports to: Controller

Duties Include:

• Responsible for assigned WIP schedules and related contract accounting.
• Work closely with project management team for margin analysis and research.
• Record contract value and estimate changes in accounting system (internal control).
• Work closely with financial planning and analysis team for contract forecasting.
• Assist in monthly close process including detailed WIP reconciliation and analysis.
• Responsible for KPI reporting related to WIP schedules (monthly and quarterly).
• Review job cost journal entries and ensure proper supporting documentation.
• Assist with job cost invoice review and contract cost analysis.
• Assist with various monthly project and department budgetary meetings.
• Backup support for accounts payable and accounts receivable functions related to contracts.
• Assists with various audits and information requests.
• Adherence to internal control policies and procedures.

Preferred Experience:

• Construction accounting or percentage-of-completion accounting.
• Intermediate Excel skills and ability to learn new software programs.
• Software programs (or similar)
  • Sage 300 CRE accounting
  • Workiva data management
  • FloQast account reconciliation
  • Microsoft Power BI

Requirements:

• 4-year accounting degree, 3+ years (construction experience preferred)
