Henry Industries Inc. (HII), an established provider of nationwide logistic services, freight brokering, distribution center, & 3rd party warehousing, is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant with 1 to 3 years of experience for our freight brokering division, Henry Freight Solutions. Starting salary will be based on qualifications and experience. The position reports to the Company Controller.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Daily reconciliation of bank cash to general ledger
• Daily processing of credit card payments
• Subsidiary A/P processing of carrier invoices for payment
• Subsidiary A/R processing of customer invoices
• Daily and visible communication with brokers, supervisors and executives
• Journal entry preparation and posting
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations
• Research P&L variances with reporting of errors and issues to management
• Maintain standard operating procedure documents for training and support of accounting processes

Desired Skills:

• Accounting or Finance degree required
• 1-3 years proven experience as a staff accountant
• Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing experience
• Understanding of data analysis, forecasting and financial compilation
• Well-organized with ability to prioritize and work independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of intercompany accounting practices is a plus
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
