Join our growing and award winning software comany headquartered in Chicago! As our Staff Accountant you will contribute to the efficient and effective workings of the Controllership by executing daily and monthly activities in accordance with U.S. GAAP and corporate policies. You will also be expected to assist the team with related accounting activities and execute with a strong level of detail. This a hybrid role and would require you to work in our beautiful Chicago office 2-3 days per week. #LI-Hybrid

- Ensures the timely and accurate creation and submission of invoices to clients.
- Works with the AR Analyst on resubmission of invoices and sending of past due notices to clients.
- Works with AR Analyst to Invoice and track all billable expenses and late fees.
- Works with AP Analyst to invoice all third-party costs to clients.
- Reviews data imported from sales system into ERP to ensure accurate invoice amounts and timing.
- Works with AP Analyst to ensure proper coding of fixed assets and entering in Fixed Asset Module.
- Manages vendor related entries from expense system within ERP.
- Sends all approved information for new vendor setup (W9, bank info, new vendor setup in portal).
- Assists in posting of allocations and reclassifications.
- Organizes and prepares information and reports for annual financial audit and work with outside auditors.
- Documents any process or policy changes to ensure procedures are up to date for someone else to back up work.
- Additional projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Minimum 1 year experience in a role with similar responsibilities
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in a SaaS or professional services environment a plus.
- Public accounting experience is a plus
