Job description

Utah based independent community pharmacy is seeking qualified, licensed pharmacists to fill an open staff pharmacist position.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day pharmacy operation.

• Input and perform insurance billing and claim for medication orders

• Prepare medicines according to prescriptions written by authorized medical practitioners.

• Take prescription orders over telephone, voicemail, facsimile or by other means.

• Provide excellent counseling to pharmacy patients on their prescription and non-prescription medications.

• Adhere and follow local, state, and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.

• Order and maintain inventory of drugs as per regulations.

Requirements:

• Active unrestricted Utah pharmacist and unrestricted Utah controlled substance pharmacist license.

• Have no disciplinary actions.

• Follow pharmacy protocols.

• Provide excellent customer service.

• Should possess excellent communication skills to speak clearly, concisely, and effectively and understand information presented in written, verbal form.

• In addition to being fluent in English communication, the ability to communicate well in Spanish is preferred.

• Should be able to pass a criminal background check.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

• This position involves light work like lifting, moving, pushing objects; bending, standing for extended periods.

Physical Requirements:

• Person must be able to read, write, listen, speak; possess manual dexterity like pulling and/or pushing, reaching, sitting, standing, stooping and crouching.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $44.10 - $66.10 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 4 hour shift
• 5x8
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

• West Jordan, UT 84088: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

License/Certification:

• Licensed Pharmacist (Required)
