Responsibilities
Develop vector factorization algorithms. Perform experiments to evaluate algorithms. Write up results for publication and present them at group meetings. Responsible for the supervision of undergrad researchers.
Required Qualifications
Background in neural network models. Experience with GPU and Python programming. Experience with complex-valued vector representations Knowledge of mathematics in high-dimensional spaces and Lie groups Knowledge of high-dimensional computing and transformer network architectures as practiced at Google Research and Open AI.

Education/Training:
BS degree in computer science, machine learning, or electrical engineering and/or equivalent experience/training.
Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of computational vision.

It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.

The budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $27.09 (step 1.0) - $43.56 (step 25.0).
This is a 100% full-time (40 hours per week), career position that is eligible for full UC benefits. This position is non-exempt and paid bi-weekly.
