Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review, address and provide legal counsel to internal customers on transactional issues related to federal, state and local government contracts as well as healthcare and education sectors
  • Support senior members of the Office of General Counsel with the implementation of new and/or applicable federal, state, and local regulations
  • Draft and negotiate agreements involving the sale or lease of equipment, services, and software; including but not limited to RFPs, Cooperative Purchasing Agreements, Lease and Maintenance Agreements, SAAS Agreements, Subcontracts, NDAs, Teaming Agreements, and other partner agreements
  • Support sales and operations teams to ensure legally compliant and accurate proposals are submitted
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance on rapidly changing privacy, cybersecurity, procurement, and other regulatory and policy issues impacting the sale or lease of products, services and software to state and local and healthcare customers
  • Assist in maintaining an ongoing public sector compliance program through the drafting of policies and procedures, development and delivery of employee trainings, conducting internal investigations and interacting with internal/external auditors
  • Manage bid protests by overseeing outside counsel
  • Research and advise internal clients on federal, state and local regulations
  • Work with internal stakeholders, contracting officers, prime contractors, and other partners to resolve any contractual issues that may arise during contract performance
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments within Xerox – supply chain, global procurement, service delivery, finance, accounting, etc. –as well as with public sector and healthcare customers and partners to ensure proper execution of contracts and subcontracts


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of federal, state, and/or local government transactional experience required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
