What you'll do:

The Store Manager assumes a blended role of both operations and merchandising while leading a team to accomplish strategic objectives and overall sales goals. In this role, the successful Store Manager will be an effective communicator with a motivational and persuasive personality, and thrive in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment. Key aspects to this position is understanding all facets of the business to ensure that focus remains on business initiatives, store presentation, marketing execution and daily operational cost controls.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Drive sales staff to attain daily, weekly, and monthly sales and operational goals
• Model company initiatives, goals, and policies
• Partner with buying team regarding merchandising presentation
• Achieve financial objectives by adhering to budgets, scheduling expenditures, and analyzing variances
• Maintain stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements
• Ensure operating procedures are effectively implemented at all levels
• Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of assigned staff
• Maintain store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
• Oversee general merchandising and store operations
• Act as liaison to corporate leadership

To be considered, you should:

• 3 years of high-volume retail management experience
• 3 years’ experience as a supervisor
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong business acumen with a thorough understanding of retail mathematics and gross margin
• Ability to develop and manage staff
• Ability to manage a budget
• Understanding of P&L components
• Merchandising skills in both hardlines and softlines preferred
• Be able to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects
