Job description
The Library Page will provide service desk coverage and shelving assistance. They will also be required to assist with various library projects as assigned.
Position Duties
- Greet and assist incoming visitors at the circulation desk
- Check library materials in and out
- Handle cash transactions for library fines, fees, and book sales
- Open or close the circulation desk as necessary
- Provide coverage of other service stations as necessary
- Add paper and change toner in public printers as necessary
- Reshelve books in the stacks and reference section; assist with stacks maintenance projects as assigned
- Other projects as assigned
Position Qualifications
- Proficiency in basic computer systems
- Reliability and punctuality
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet manner
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Office experience a plus
Work Hours
The assigned hours will be mostly evenings and weekends.
