Job description
Summary of Position
This position provides the leadership of the student ministry of the Summit Church at the West Cary Campus. This includes pastoral care, program supervision, leadership development, and overseeing spiritual instruction of 5th-12th grade students of the Campus.
The West Cary staff will work as a team to do whatever it takes for the well-being of the campus. There are additional responsibilities outside of Student Ministry in conjunction with the campus team (missions, events, setup and teardown, etc.).
Qualifications and Requirements
Passionate about connecting students to the global mission of God
Ability to connect and equip families
Strong communication skills
Teachable spirit
Proven leader and strong ability to cast vision and develop leaders
Preferred 3-5 years of experience in leading a student ministry
A member of The Summit Church or willing and able to become a member
Responsibilities
Leads out in the implementing and executing of the vision of Summit Students
Partnering with parents to raise a generation to love Christ and his mission

Leads out in the planning, organizing, promoting, and executing of all student ministry programs on the campus level, such as Middle School Life Groups and HS WKLY
Leads student ministry events as needed for parents, students, and volunteers.
Provides direction and leadership for parents, students, volunteers, staff and the congregation on matters relating to student ministry
Leads out in timely, consistent, and clear communication with students, parents, staff, and volunteers
Campus Ministry
Primary School once a week
Secondary school once a month
Coaching/Recruiting
Leads out in recruiting and coaching Student Ministry leadership
Giving vision, direction, and responsibility to those leaders
Recruit and Coach Middle and High School Life Group leaders
Assessing the health of the life group leader
Diagnosing needs of life groups
Giving oversight to the direction of the small groups on campus level
Connecting
Connecting students to the discipleship programs of the church
Connecting with and equipping families according to the Family Ministry Plan
Connecting new leaders to serving in Student Ministry
Catalyzing
Train leaders to do campus ministry at primary and secondary schools
Connect leaders to existing Summit ministry partnerships at those campuses
Assists in planning and carrying out All-Campus Events
Retreats
Summer Camp
Mission Trips (Spring Break, Summer Project)

Other Responsibilities
This role involves 20-25 hours a week in Summit Students and 15-20 hours a week in another or other ministry areas
