This position starts at a rate of $23.47 per hour.

Job Summary

Under general supervision and according to specified policies and procedures, performs general cleanup and material handling duties. May assist in various departments using more specialized skills under direct guidance. Complies with all applicable safety policies and regulations.

Essential Functions

• 
  Performs general clean-up and plant housekeeping duties using a shovel, broom, chipping hammer, pavement breaker, and other assorted hand tools.
• Performs cleaning of plant equipment, buildings, properties, and grounds; including the following but not limited to building floors, belt conveyors among other equipment.
• Fill in as needed and performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Responsible for recording and maintaining documentation associated with the job-related activity.
• Assists in plant repair projects and keeps work areas and equipment clean and orderly.
• Observes all safety rules, and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Education

• 
  High School diploma or GED

Skills and Abilities

• 
  Proficient in English written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc. in English required.
• Strong verbal communication and listening skills.
• Demonstrated written communication skills.
• Highly thorough and dependable.
• Possesses a high degree of initiative.
• Assumes personal responsibility for actions.
• Ability to operate a shovel, wheelbarrow, pickup truck, weed eater, hand power tools, etc.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to pass a post-offer drug screen and physical abilities test.

Working Conditions

Frequent exposure to dust, loud noise, heat, dirt, high elevations of up to 150 feet, and all weather conditions. Normal operation of mobile equipment may result in jarring and vibratory exposure.
