POSITION TITLE: Beverage Supervisor

REPORTS TO: Beverage Operations Manager
SUPERVISES: Beverage Servers, Bartenders, Bar Helpers, Casino Cocktail Server, DR Bartender, DR Casino Cocktail Server
JOB SUMMARY:
Monitor Beverage day to day performance, in order to provide excellent customer service that exceeds company goals and implement strategies that drive service scores.
JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ø Establish and endorse the business objectives, ethics and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision and Values
Ø Manage the day-to-day operation of beverage service on assigned shift
Ø Responsible for planning, supervising, and monitoring the task and quality of work of the team members in assigned area(s)
Ø Responsible for daily schedules (shift, section, and break) for subordinates
Ø Manage staffing to business demand
Ø Conduct pre-shift meetings, including DVM board to provide information to subordinates
Ø Ensure that appearance standards are met, coaching and mentoring as necessary
Ø Communicate with team members regularly to facilitate the effective flow of communication throughout the company
Ø Ensure that guest service is at a consistently high level meeting resort standards
Ø Ensure service recovery activities
Ø Coordinate between shifts and departments
Ø Conduct Voice of Customer (VOC) callbacks
Ø Conduct time studies for round times and service quality and coach subordinates based on observations
Ø Train subordinates, providing each with the knowledge, development and appropriate direction to perform his/her responsibilities
Ø Provide continuous positive coaching for development of employees and appropriate corrective action when necessary
Ø Provide timely and accurate performance appraisals and accurate work history entries
Ø Exhibit sound decision-making with emphasis on motivating team and maintaining high morale
Ø Complete all shift-related paperwork and updates to DVM board
Ø Responsible for, or actively participates in, the initiation of personnel actions including but not limited to: interviews, training, candidate selection, terminations, performance reviews, promotions, transfers and disciplinary actions
Ø Monitor employees with cash to ensure proper cash handling procedures
Ø Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures
Ø Ensure all employees are following guidelines of the EBCI liquor laws as defined by the Tribal ABC Commission and/or NC ABC Commission
Ø Conduct a physical inventory of bar ware and requisition replacement items as needed
Ø Monitor asset control of liquor bottles, draft and bottled beer and wine
Ø Proactive with incidents and issues ensuring resolution with employees and guests
Ø Other duties as required to deliver excellent service to internal and external customers
Ø Other duties as assigned
Ø Adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Ø High school diploma or GED required
Ø One year of guest contact experience required
Ø One year supervisor experience required
Ø Six months full service bar experience or six months as a Casino Cocktail Server preferred
Ø CARE certified
Ø Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:
Ø Knowledge of beverage operations
Ø Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Ø Able to attend to multiple priorities simultaneously
Ø Excellent interpersonal skills
Ø Willing to learn and be adaptable
Ø Attention to detail/observant
Ø Documented teamwork behaviors and attitudes
Ø Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Ø Must be able to be on feet for 8 hour shift
Ø Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist and grasp items
Ø Must be able to maneuver and tap a keg weighing 165 pounds
Ø Must be able to lift 20 pounds and carry 5 pounds
Ø Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
Ø Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
Ø Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality including second hand smoke
Ø Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays
